Tender Awarded | BIM consulting services for the implementation of BIM solution in The Excelsior, Hong Kong Redevelopment Project
The Excelsior is located at 281 Gloucester Road, Causeway Bay of Hong Kong. It was operated by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and is now under redevelopment into a commercial office tower on the site, which will take about six years to complete. The total development is budgeted at US$650 million (equivalent to HK$ 5.07 billion). isBIM will implement BIM and assist in providing useful data for reference and BIM solutions for productive operations throughout design stage.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is the award-winning owner and operator of some of the most luxurious hotels, resorts and residences situated in prime destinations around the world. To date, the Group operates 45 hotels (some are under development) in 27 countries. Amongst 45 hotels, 19 hotels are in Asia, 12 in The Americas, and 14 in Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
The Excelsior is located in prime tourist area in Causeway Bay. It had opened for 45 years and was deemed as the tallest building in Causeway Bay back then. It was built with 886 rooms, suites, executive floor, executive boardroom, business center, 6 restaurants and bars, 14 function and meeting rooms, and 1 gym center.
The hotel is situated on a prime commercial waterfront site in the Causeway Bay district of Hong Kong in where The Group has approval for the development of a mixed-use commercial building with a Gross Floor Area of about 49,000 sqm, 41-storey. The redevelopment project is expected to complete in 2023.
